My name is Edgard Barbosa and I’m a designer from Petropolis, Brazil. I’ve been working in design for 3 years. I got my graphic design degree at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida where I've been living for 12 years.
During my college years, I interned in a variety of ad agencies and non-profits throughout South Florida. I also took the opportunity to move to Juiz de Fora, Brazil and take a few college credits.
Since I graduated I've been freelancing through Edgard Barbosa Design, LLC., and doing some work at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, the 14th largest church in the United States.
Growing up, I remember wanting to be one of three things: an illustrator, an astronaut, or an agriculturist. The reason being that I loved comic books, I loved planets and I loved learning about the environment.
I ended up in design. Yet, in a sense, I'm still pursuing the great things about my childhood dreams: I explore visual communication in all its forms (like an illustrator), I research ideas while seeking answers to profound questions (like an astronaut), and I create matter that, will have immediate transformative effects on people (like an agriculturist). Design is hard work, but someone has got to do it!
Feel free to email me for questions, projects, or quotes.
